The Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020 has made a distinct change to the way divorce proceedings are handled in England and Wales.  Blame, and any opportunity to level blame, is intended to have been removed from the divorce and civil partnership process.  One party, or both parties, state that the marriage or partnership in question has irretrievably broken down and thus, must be taken by the court to be 'conclusive evidence' that the marriage/partnership has failed.
